Today, we went to Fukuyama Castle to pick up fallen leaves.

今日は、福山城へ落ち葉拾いに行きましたよ。

The weather was very nice, perfect weather for a walk.

天気も良く、お散歩にとてもいい日でした。

While walking up the stairs and slopes, the students happily said, "Hey look, I found it!!"

子ども達は、階段を上がりながら　「見てー　見つけたよ!」と嬉しそうに教えてくれました。

Some of the students grabbed leaves with both hands, and others gently picked them up so that the leaves would not break.

両手で落ち葉を拾ったり、落ち葉が破れてしまわないようにそっと拾ったりしていました。

The students looked around very carefully and found that the leaves of autumn had turned from green to red,

子ども達は、とてもよく周りを見ていて秋になると葉っぱは緑から赤になること、

and the leaves of ginkgo turned from green to yellow.

そしてイチョウの葉は緑から黄色になることに気づいていました。

Next, let's go pick up acorns!
