Hello!
Lately in class 5 we have been studying about other countries and continents, and about how many foods in our local supermarket come from different countries. So we took a trip to Fresta supermarket and found many things that are imported from other countries.
We found bananas from Ecuador and the Phillipines, grapes and Nutella chocolate spread from Australia, kiwifruit from New Zealand, pumpkin from Mexico, garlic from Spain, peppers and kimchee from Korea, coffee from Brazil, noodles from Taiwan, shrimp from Peru, spaghetti and canned tomatoes from Italy, cheese from France, tea from Poland, and many frozen foods and canned foods from China!!
We also met a lovely lady from Australia, and she asked the kids what food they liked. The kids brought 1000 yen in their purses and after looking at all of the foods from other countries they decided what they wanted to buy to take home and enjoy with their family. The most popular items were bananas and cheese!
After we came back to kindergarten we talked about how important it is to be friends with other people in the world. Hopefully we can see peace in all the countries one day♡
